Giacalone now serves as Quext’s vice president of national and institutional sales, and Kandala is the company’s executive vice president of sales.

Giacalone and Kandala will focus on nationwide implementation of the company’s convenience-based product offerings, specifically Quext Connect, a property-wide managed broadband Wi-Fi solution for multi-family homes, and Quext IoT, a patented smart apartment management platform that reduces initial investment costs. and increases the value of the property. Not only has Giacalone worked for companies like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Valet Living, but his extensive sales knowledge and experience in improving retention with existing customers will help maximize Quext’s revenue growth.

Kandala joins the Quext team with two decades of experience in the multifamily and real estate industry. He began his career as a commercial broker and asset manager before moving to Chicago in 2004, where Kandala spent four years working for Jupiter Communities as director of real estate. Kandala’s extensive experience spans from contract negotiations to operations and asset management and has held other leadership roles at Valet Living, SightPlan and, most recently, Rent Dynamics. With Quext’s variety of apartment technologies, Kandala will help showcase its capabilities to key customers in current and new markets.
