Paddy McGuinness and Danny Dyer to remake Vindaloo football anthem for Euro 2020
The FOOTBALL anthem Vindaloo is being remade for the euros – with Danny Dyer and Paddy McGuinness on vocals.
Scenes for the video were filmed this week, with actor Will Mellor, comedian Leigh Francis and dancer Bez singing a new take on the spicy Fat Les hit.
But EastEnders star Danny and Top Gear host Paddy also sing to the unofficial England anthem, originally recorded for the 1998 World Cup.
A source said: “Danny and Paddy are secret stars of the Vindaloo re-recording.
“They dropped off their lyrics in a studio late last month, but their schedule didn’t allow them to do the shoot. But it’s obvious who sings which lines of the track and the new version is great.”
Corrie Will actor, Keith Lemon Leigh star and Happy Mondays Bez dancer were seen filming in Hoxton, east London.
The source continued, “The video in the updated version is completely consistent with the original. Everyone involved in the remake believes it will blow the original out of the water. It’s awesome and fun.
