The two Ronnies – starring Ronnie Corbett and Ronnie Barker – was one of the most popular TV shows of the 1970s and 80s, drawing 18 million viewers every week. But Ronnie Corbett put his wife Anne and daughters Emma and Sophie before anything else. Now they are sharing his home videos for the first time. This touching and insightful film also features testimonials from famous pals and fans, including David Walliams and Robbie Williams, and chronicles how he grew from a poor childhood in Edinburgh to a comedy icon.
Craig and Bruno’s Great British Travels, 8 p.m., ITV
Strictly judges Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli swap the jiving to lead in this charming travelogue. Their friendship is evident from the get-go as they sing show tunes, bicker over which ride is worse, and inevitably get lost on country roads. Tonight’s opening sees them exploring the Cornish coast taking a choppy boat trip out into the Atlantic, playing with the sailor song group Fisherman’s Friends and braving the cold Jubilee Pool, the Kingdom’s largest lido. -United. Bold Bruno packed his skinniest Speedos for the occasion!
The repair shop, 8 p.m., BBC1
There really is a piece of history in tonight’s episode of this new series, when Tom from Ilkley brings in his grandmother Audrey’s running shoes. Audrey competed in the Berlin Olympics in 1936, running in the 4x100m relay ahead of Hitler, and won a silver medal. Tom is incredibly proud of his pioneering grandmother and wants to show off the shoes, which are a bit flat today – can shoemaker Dean Westmoreland give them a bit of oomph? Other items that need a boost are an emotional image of a South African hero, a desperate horn, and another goofy donkey.

Best movie to watch on tv tonight
The Hate U Give, 9 p.m., Film4
Starr Carter, 16 (The hunger Games‘Amandla Stenberg) is used to the social divide between her poor, predominantly black neighborhood and the rich, elitist, predominantly white school she attends. But her two worlds collide when she witnesses the gunshot death of her childhood best friend at the hands of the police. It’s a coming-of-age drama with a difference – both an accessible teen film and a passionate current affairs drama.
