Houston Texans find Deshaun Watson replacement
How many teams will need quarterbacks with first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft? It’s a difficult question to answer this far, but the writing on the wall in Houston suggests the Texans may be looking for a replacement for DeShaun Watson, who wants to come out and has several teams interested in his services.
Josh Edwards, Analyst at CBS Sports expects Texans to be able to take a quarterback at No. 1 overall, potentially choosing between Sam Howell of North Carolina and Spencer Rattler of Oklahoma. Both callers will lead the top 15 teams in the 2021 season and will also be draft-eligible at the end of the year.
Judging from several early projections, the Ohio State Buckeyes appear to have the most hopes in the first round, including a pair of wide receivers in Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave. The Buckeyes finished a win ahead of a national championship last season and will have one of the best rosters in the country in their recall offer.
