FCC chief turns to Congress for help on spectrum sales

By Christopher Cole (May 27, 2022, 6:37 p.m. EDT) – Federal Communications Commission chief pushes for legislation to free up more airwaves and touts several agency measures she says will fine-tune spectrum management in the USA .

FCC Chairman Jessica Rosenworcel recently called on lawmakers to pass the Spectrum Innovation Act, which would require multiple agencies to work together to identify at least 200 megahertz of spectrum in the 3.1-3.45 gigahertz band that the commission could then sell at auction for commercial purposes.
