Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson to host Smart Works Leeds event celebrating Yorkshire women
Smart Works Leeds, the charity that helps unemployed women return to work by providing maintenance clothes and coaching, is due to host a special celebratory event later this month highlighting women’s resilience across Yorkshire during the pandemic.
Hosted by presenter and former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson, it will take place on the evening of July 22 in Manahatta, Merrion Street, Leeds, and will feature a panel discussion titled ‘The Pandemic and Women’s Work: Celebrating Women’s Resilience during Covid- 19 ‘.
The Smart Works charity was launched in London in 2013 with the aim of helping women of different backgrounds and ages find employment by providing them with coaching to build their confidence in their ability to succeed when an interview.
It also provides high quality interview-friendly clothing, footwear and accessories that its referred clients can keep and wear for their job interview, as well as high-quality, job-specific clothing that they can keep and wear. when they get the job.
There are now Smart Works centers across the UK including Edinburgh, Manchester, Reading, Birmingham, Newcastle and the Leeds branch, which opened in 2019 at Mabgate Mills, close to the city center.

The Smart Works Leeds Celebration Night will feature a panel of Yorkshire women from business, media and retail, discussing the impact of the pandemic on women’s lives, and include information from ‘a Smart Works Leeds customer whose life has been transformed by using the service.
There will also be bubbly, food and a chance to shop at a small pop-up clothing and accessories boutique donated by Yorkshire retailers including Joe Browns, Very Stylish Girl, Helen Sykes Fashions, Lint. Clothing and Clockface Beauty, as well as a raffle with prizes including a pair of Valentino shoes.
